Joint Online & Offline Marketing…
Since my earlier message on this topic I have just finished reading a great book by Ted Ciuba titled Mail Order in the Internet Age
After you read the first few pages you may get the feeling that the book is going to contain a fair bit of hype and no solid detail.
How wrong can you be…I had the pleasure of meeting Ted at a marketing conference in Sydney, Australia earlier this year and his positive manner certainly remains as a memory.
It is his positive style that makes this book compelling reading.
I have tried offline marketing in many forms, mostly mail order, but always felt that if you could marry together both offline and online marketing methods the potential could be huge.
Ted goes to great length to explain how he has integrated the two successfully and it has spurred me along to try some of the principles in my business.
Personally I feel that the original form of marketing “Mail Order” is sadly overlooked these day’s simply because the message being sold everywhere, mostly by astute marketers is, you must have a “Website”.
Well I have a website, several in fact, I have had and continue to have success with them, some great, some not so great, but I feel there is further potential.
In an effort to explore the real possibilities I am going to start combining both online and offline marketing methods to see what sort of result follows.
My reading however continues, Jim Straw, the Mail Order Millionaire’s experience is next on the list, this is another marketer that now combines both online and offline.
I will keep you posted as I go along.
