We all want them, Quality inbound links that is…

Inbound links as a rule hold some real value if they are on a page with good PR.

Interestingly as we strive to build links to our respective sites I am sure you have experienced the same difficulties as I have, many sites will only accept reciprocal links, that is they will place your link on their site if you place their link on yours.

Also if you have used the Site Sell Value Exchange you would have to wonder as to why people list they want to exchange links when clearly they don’t, as an example ten days I received an email from Site Sell advising that I had 48 matches to keywords related to my website and would I like to exchange links.

I selected 22 webmasters to email, my decision was based on the location of their links page and it’s PR…ten days passes and not one responds, I am sure they have checked out my pages, all PR 4 or better so I am confused as to why there seems to be a reluctance to exchange links.

There are many websites offering all sorts of Link programs, you can even buy links now so what do you believe is the best way to obtain quality links?

For my mind a quality link must at first be relevant to my site, preferably sit on the homepage or close to and have a PR6 or better. (PR is not everything but it sure seems to help)

From your perspective what would you define as a quality link?
