Internet Marketing, Online Marketing, eBusiness, whatever terminology you use to define the sale of products or services using the Internet as a medium, the lack of understanding by many of those out there in the wide world never ceases to amaze me.

Those that spend more than a modicum of time online and have built a successful profile will no doubt be able to relate to my comments.

Hardly a day goes by without the receipt of at least one email where someone is seeking a lead on how to find the Pot of Gold that is just waiting to be be picked up from the end of the Internet rainbow.

You would expect that as the WWW has been available to millions for some years now that the public would have a better understanding as to what might or might not be achievable online.

Clearly they haven’t…One would have to ask why?

Is it only because they hear about the success stories, failures are rarely written about?
Is it the cleverly crafted sales letters that offer hope and wealth in a language that not only makes the story palatable but very believable?

There are numerous other reasons as to why the average Joe might see the Internet as his saviour turning a blind eye to the fact that short of winning lotto good old fashioned hard work is required to earn a decent income marketing on the Internet.

It is incredulous to think that when you respond to some they don’t believe you when you say that earning income online is no different to a offline job, time, sweat and toil is what brings reward…you get nothing for nothing.

Looking at my online earnings today maybe I’m in the need of a Rainbow as well…any offers!
